Jean-Marc de Pas’s Studio: A Space for Creation and Transmission
Jean-Marc de Pas’s studio is a space devoted to sculpture in all its forms, blending tradition and innovation. As a sculptor and landscape artist, he designs and creates his works there while passing on his expertise.
Clay Modeling: The Cornerstone of the Artistic Gesture
Jean-Marc de Pas grew up in the heart of the family estate at Bois-Guilbert, a place where he instinctively nurtured a deep connection with nature and the earth — his foundational material. Clay, both malleable and sensual, lies at the core of his artistic expression; he shapes it with precision, blending intuition and introspection to bring forth the forms he seeks to embody. First sketched in small-scale studies, his works capture the immediacy of the gesture before taking on their full dimension through a carefully orchestrated transposition into other materials.
Bronze and the Transposition of a Work
Once the clay modeling is complete, Jean-Marc collaborates with expert foundries to bring the work to life in enduring materials such as bronze or composite resins. This process, rooted in traditional techniques dating back to Antiquity—such as lost-wax casting and clay mold making—yields sculptures of great finesse and durability, while preserving the original character of the creative gesture.
Dialogue with Public Space and Nature
Jean-Marc conceives sculpture as an extension of the landscape. Each piece is designed in relation to its surroundings, with many of his works installed in public spaces—most notably within the Sculpture Garden, a poetic seven-hectare park featuring over seventy works where art enters into dialogue with the seasons and natural elements.
He also creates monumental commissions for cities, institutions, and public sites, including busts on the Boieldieu Bridge in Rouen, a tribute to Mother Teresa, and The Little Prince in New York.
3D Innovation as an Extension of the Sculptor’s Gesture
Today, 3D digitization elegantly and effectively complements the creative process. In collaboration with the Bicome agency, Jean‑Marc de Pas integrates high-precision scanning technologies, scale reduction, resin printing, and digital visualization—all while preserving the care, sensitivity, and spirit of the original gesture. This innovative service becomes a powerful tool for preservation, heritage dissemination, and artistic reproduction.
Private Commissions
The studio also fulfills private and institutional commissions, offering bespoke sculptures tailored to the expectations of collectors, public institutions, and companies wishing to integrate art into their spaces.
Workshops
Organized in collaboration with the Sculpture Garden association, these workshops are open to all and offer participants the opportunity to discover or deepen their skills in modeling and sculpting techniques, while immersed in an inspiring artistic environment.
Services
Mold-making of original works, kiln firing of sculptures, and the production of cast editions are also available upon request and by quotation, ensuring full support throughout the creation and production process.

3D Studio
Technology Serving Heritage and Creation
Jean-Marc de Pas’s 3D studio integrates the latest advances in digitization and photogrammetry to ensure the preservation and enhancement of sculptural heritage. With these technologies, every detail of a work can be captured in high definition, creating a faithful digital model. This approach not only allows for the digital archiving of sculptures, but also makes it possible to restore them, produce replicas, or integrate them into interactive environments. Photogrammetry, in particular, offers exceptional precision, ensuring optimal conservation of the original textures.
Creation of Scale Replicas and 3D Visualizations
The studio goes beyond preservation, opening up new creative possibilities through resin 3D printing. Sculptures can be reproduced at various scales—either as prototypes for mold-making and bronze casting, or to be directly hand-painted in acrylic and finished using a variety of techniques.
In addition, these digital models are used to create interactive 3D visualizations for web platforms. These immersive renderings allow the sculptures to be showcased in online galleries, offering a new way to explore the work of Jean-Marc de Pas—anywhere in the world.
